Blue Spectrum

The quarterly magazine of fisheries and aquatic sciences

Just as blue light travels deepest through water, Blue Spectrum carries fisheries research to its furthest reach — from classroom and hatchery to laboratory and coastline.

ABOUT THE MAGAZINE

A home for fisheries science, published every quarter

Blue Spectrum is the official quarterly magazine of the School of Fisheries, Centurion University of Technology and Management (CUTM), Paralakhemundi — an initiative conceived and driven entirely by the School itself.

It exists as a shared platform for students, academicians, and scientists working across fisheries and aquatic sciences to publish their work: research findings, field notes, review articles, case studies, and ideas that deserve a wider audience within the discipline.

Four issues a year. One community. A steady current of new work from classrooms, hatcheries, laboratories, and coastlines, brought together in a single publication.

WHY “BLUE SPECTRUM”

Of all the colours in sunlight, blue travels furthest through water — every other wavelength is absorbed before it. It is the reason the ocean itself appears blue at depth. This magazine takes its name from that principle: research published here is built to travel far, reaching readers well beyond the room where it was first written.
